The following areas of responsibility, inter alia, shall be performed nationwide within the United States, which shall not be exclusive:

Affirmative and Defensive Asylum Preparation

  • Review and analysis of persecution narratives and supporting documentary evidence.
  • Completion of Form I-589 and preparation of supporting exhibits.
  • Organization of exhibits and country conditions evidence.
  • Structuring of indexes and documentary submissions in compliance with the EOIR Practice Manual.
  • Drafting of briefs and supporting memoranda.

Family-Based and Employment-Based Petitions

  • Preparation of Forms I-130, I-140, I-485, I-765, I-131, and related applications.
  • Eligibility review pursuant to applicable provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) and Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).
  • Drafting of cover letters, affidavits, and documentation establishing qualifying relationships or employment.

Motions and Filings Before the Immigration Court (EOIR)

  • Drafting of motions (including motions to reopen, motions to reconsider, and motions to change venue, among others).
  • Preparation of briefs and responses to notices to appear (NTAs).
  • Organization of case files for master calendar and individual hearings.
  • Preparation of appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).

General U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Support and Form Preparation

  • Technical assistance in the preparation of immigration applications (including Temporary Protected Status [TPS], Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals [DACA], the Nicaraguan Adjustment and Central American Relief Act [NACARA], Application for Naturalization (N-400), and Freedom of Information Act [FOIA] requests, among others).
  • Review for internal consistency and compliance with form instructions.
  • Legal research services.

Bond Proceedings Support

  • Collection of client information through intake procedures.
  • Organization of documentation and preparation of bond hearing files.
  • Monitoring and supervision of each case.
  • Monitoring of hearing schedules and timely notification to the Attorney regarding dates and times of hearings.
  • Individualized client assistance and support.
